Sylkia Webb Workshop series: 2D Needle Felting: Brooches

Learn how to paint with felt!

Needle Felting is the process of stabbing fuzzy wool with a needle to sculpt it (or create flat art). Each student will get wool in their choice of colors to make 2 brooches. You can also choose to make them into a patch, ornament, bookmark, or framed art. The first brooch will be from a template and using reference photos; made and drawn by the instructor. The second brooch will be freeform. "I will have several images/drawings to choose from, but I must admit, I'm excited about fall, so they will likely reflect that with a few creatures of the night. :)"-Sylkia  We will also do a bit of embroidery and embellishments with glass beads and bling.

What the Heck do you need to know:

• The class will take place outdoors under the pavilion. If the weather is yucky, we may move indoors.
