About the event

Keilan Aplin, based in Athens GA, has been teaching and performing old-time music for several years. She currently performs locally with the North Georgia Allstars.

She will be leading an intermediate/advanced clawhammer banjo workshop, focusing on tunes from Georgia banjo player Land Norris (Youtube playlist of his songs). Beginners are welcome to come observe/listen. Bring your own instrument. There will be an hour-long concert immediately following, showcasing a range of Appalachian fiddle tunes and songs.
