From Idea to T-Shirt: Design with the Y&H & Mya Threads

This is a creative workshop for youths ages 9-18, a part of our youth program: The Young & the Heckless.

Mya Threads is an apparel brand that celebrates creativity by letting young designers turn their ideas into real T-shirt designs. We’ll build designs together and show the steps from a first idea or drawing to a digital, printable design. We’ll explore ideas for a Young &  the Heckless logo and T-shirt, then use a young artist’s drawing to create another shirt design. Along the way, Vijay, co-founder of Mya Threads, will explain how the young designer program works, including designer credit, royalties, and how the business supports children’s causes. Participants can contribute ideas during the workshop and continue working on their own designs afterward.
