About the event

Fabric-ly Frankensteining: An Upcycled Clothing Meetup and Mashup

Are you interested in embellishing & reconstructing clothing from your closet and thrift stores? Let's discuss how to do this....and create from what you have on hand...with a few tweaks. Bring your item and a creative mind and we will work on a plan. This is about what you want and need...to create and to take full advantage of your own clothing.

What the Heck do you need to know?

  • 1. Outdoors. Rain-or-shine. If rainy that day, we will be under the pavilion and canopies.
  • 2. Only 15 spots for this workshop.
  • 3. Free. The suggested donation is $10. No one will be turned away. Pay what you can. You may make a donation online at: www.heck.house/donate or in person at the meetup.
  • 4. Parking is on one side of Milton Street, the cross street that the driveway is located on.
  • 5. Attendees are encouraged to bring their own tools, clothing, and fabric that they would like to bring to life. Heck.house does have donated items and tools here also.
  • 6. Open to all skill levels, genders, ages, and abilities

Let's see what fashionable monsters we can create and imagine from our own closets. This meetup will be led by Lissa Feuer who does quilts and other sewing stuff. This is not about sewing a perfect item, it is about being creative with what we do have and making friends while sewing.
