Aug 16th The Heck with linocut by @tenderslug

This meetup is for beginners and those who wish to gain more experience with linocutting. We'll meet every other Sunday, 6-8 pm, in a relaxed group setting. Aug 16th is the first one. Nova Nicole (@tenderslug) will be guiding the group with:

• How to design for relief printing, with a focus on contrast through positive and negative space

• Experiencing with different transfer methods

• Learning carving techniques (and how to avoid carving up your thumb)

There are enough basic supplies to get started from Speedball for 7 participants and room for 2 more participants with their own supplies. Each participant will get a small linoleum block (2”x4”) with an option to purchase more at the meetup. We will meet up in the pavilion and keep it small, where…
