Sylkia Webb Workshop Series: Journal Making

Come and learn how to make your own hardbound decorative journal. We will learn how to cut, measure, score, and trim our lining, cover papers, insert pages, and book board to glue and bind together a one-of-a-kind masterpiece. There will be many decorative papers to choose from and we will be embellishing with stickers, pens, stamps, buttons and elastics of our choosing.

These look as polished as store-bought journals but with an artist’s flair!

What the Heck do you need to know:

• The class will take place inside (front gallery) due to the heat. 
• Limited to 10 spots. Signing up is required by clicking "Buy Ticket." There is an option to pay in-person onsite.
• The fee is $35 per student. $25 goes to the art instructor, Sylkia, and $10 goes to Heck.house. Payment can be made online or in person. Payment can be made online or in person. Online payment can be purchased via "Buy Tickets" or with Zelle, CashApp, Venmo, and Paypal here: www.heck.house/donate. Please make a note that it is for Journal making. 
• Parking is on one side of Milton Street, the cross street that the driveway is located on.

• For ages 12 and over. All genders are welcome.

Kristi is a professional artist with a degree and certification in art education from Georgia State University. She has taught many mediums at all age levels. She has also taught in a variety of venues, including public school systems, art centers, programs, and private lessons. Kristi is a member of the Heck.House board and acts as our Art Education Director.
