About the event
We’re starting up a jewelry upcycle program called Heck of Alotta Jewelry. The goal is to create jewelry from random items or to create repurposed art from old jewelry like suncatchers for both personal use and Heck’s merch to raise funds.
The first meetup will be about encouraging our friends to think outside of the box when it comes to art. Art is for everyone. Art doesn't have to be expensive to be awesome. We can use whatever we have to create something that makes us feel good and helps reduce waste: Bottle caps, guitar picks, old jewelry, quarters, scrabble board pieces, playing cards, old scraps of leather, or clothing.
All skill levels are welcome. We hope to learn from each other. This program seeks to become community-led with participants planning future meetups and activities.
This is a free workshop with a suggested donation of $10 to $20, but no one will be turned away. Donations will go toward future meetups. Make an online donation here: https://www.heck.house/donate
Each meetup is limited to 20 participants and is mandatory for everyone to rsvp.
